This Privacy Policy explains how the Mechanical Calculator mobile app handles information when you use it.
Information you provide
Numbers entered into the calculator, tape history, and exported tape content are processed locally inside the app. The app does not provide a feature to upload that data to developer-run servers.
Exports and sharing
When you export the tape as TXT, CSV, PNG, JPG, or PDF, the file is generated locally, typically in app storage or cache. If you share that export with another app, service, or person, the recipient handles the file under its own policies.
Information stored on the device
The app stores preferences locally so it can remember settings like decimal display mode, tape font scale, button color preset, sound preference, landscape keypad position, and whether ads are shown.
Advertising
Mechanical Calculator can display banner ads using Google AdMob. When ads are enabled, Google may process information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, device details, app version information, and ad interaction or diagnostic data.

Permissions and network access
Network access is only needed to load ads when ads are enabled. The app does not require permissions for contacts, camera, microphone, or precise location.
Data retention
- Settings remain on the device until app storage is cleared or the app is removed.

- Ad-related retention is governed by Google policies.
Security
The app is designed to keep data local where possible, but no storage mechanism is perfectly secure. Users are responsible for protecting their own devices and the third-party services they choose for sharing exported files.
